Welcome, Keeper.

Carver & Cove is a creative brand rooted in sacred memory, artistic craft and the quiet power of legacy. It is a tribute to my grandparents—Lucille and John—though I never called them that. To me, they were Bobbie and Papaw. Together, they ran a small wood carving shop called Wood Carver's Cove.

Bobbie & Papaw

My Papaw was a carver—of wood, of patience, of guidance. My Bobbie was a cove—a keeper of steadiness, warmth, and tradition. Together, they shaped my family and their memory remains a lasting symbol of creativity and devotion.

At Wood Carver's Cove, Bobbie sat behind the front counter, greeting every person like an old friend. And her laugh—oh, her laugh. It wrinkled her nose, filled her eyes with tears and made everyone in the room feel at home.

Wood Carver's Cove

I remember their shop like it was yesterday. Especially the smell of wood in my Papaw’s cutting and storage trailer out back. The smell of coffee also always lingered in the air of the workshop. As a child, I’d keep myself busy playing in a huge bin of green packing peanuts, staring wide-eyed into the glass cabinet filled with intricate carvings made by local artists, browsing the collection of instructional books visiting the convenient store owner next door to get crackers and chocolate milk.

Carver & Cove

Today, I sit at my Bobbie's old library table in the house my grandparents once owned—the house where I spent many childhood days and where I now raise my own son. This is where Carver & Cove begins again: a new generation of our family legacy, reimagined from the woodcarving shop my grandparents once built.

Surrounded by colorful gouache and painted papers, colored pencils, watercolor, and carving tools (of course), I carry my grandparents' spirit forward through my art. I hope it becomes the center of your own family memories and that you'll forever cherish them too.

Carver & Cove is not just a brand. It’s a return. A reconnection to where I come from and a reawakening of who I’ve always been. Thanks for being part of my story Keeper.
